Dr. Adam Groza

Editor-in-Chief

Adam is a native Californian and has taught philosophy-related classes at a variety of institutions including California Baptist University, Tarleton State University, Scarborough College, and Korea Baptist Theological Seminary.

Adam earned his Ph.D. in philosophy of religion at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2009; his dissertation was titled “Siris Revisited (Did George Berkeley Change His Mind?).” He also earned a Th.M. from SWBTS in 2003. He graduated from The Master’s Seminary in 2001 with an M.Div. In 1998 he earned a B.A. in political science from Northern Arizona University.

Groza’s publications include Unraveling Philosophy (B&H Academic) with J.P. Moreland, Faith Wins: Overcoming a Crisis of Belief (New Hope Publishers, 2020) and has contributed to various books including Ministry in the New Marriage Culture (B&H, 2016) and Idealism and Christian Philosophy (Bloomsbury Academic, 2016), and more.


Dr. Jeff Jones

Jeff Jones serves as the vice president of advancement at Gateway Seminary. He earned an MDiv from Gateway and a Ph.D. in Higher Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to his executive role at Gateway, he was the Vice President of Advancement at Geneva College in Pennsylvania. He is married to Melissa and has four young children.

Tyler Sanders

Tyler Sanders serves Gateway Seminary as director of communications. He earned an MDiv with a concentration in Theological-Historical Studies from Gateway in May 2014 and BA in English from the University of Mississippi in December 2009.

He married Hannah, a fellow Gateway alum and practicing BCBA, in June 2015. Since the beginning of COVID, they’ve attended online services at Kino’ole Baptist Church in Hilo, Hawaii, where Hannah’s father has served as pastor for more than 27 years.

He is a true fan of Ole Miss football, a program with no fair-weather fans as there is no consistently fair weather in Oxford.

Rachel Allen

Creative Director | Lead Designer | Lead Photographer

Rachel serves as the graphic designer and photographer at Gateway Seminary. She also operates as the creative director for The Gateway Publishing Site, The Gateway Magazine, and various events throughout the year. She earned her Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies at Gateway. She graduated with her BA in Photography and Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design from Carson-Newman University. Prior to her service at Gateway, she served in Southeast Asia for three years.

Her Capstone project, the culminating thesis paper and presentation for the MAIS, was entitled We’ll All Be Fine: The Ever Elusive Efficacy of Church Communication, which explored the potential utilization of user-experience research methodologies in communication strategies.

As a native of the volunteer state, she loves hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains and regularly cheers for the University of Tennessee Volunteers.
